The Canada Greener Homes Grant is being co-delivered by Natural Resources Canada and Enbridge Gas in Ontario under the Home Efficiency Rebate Plus (HER+) program. Grants are provided to eligible homeowners for recommended and eligible retrofits such as home insulation, windows and doors, heat pumps and renewable energy systems.

Enbridge Gas and the Canada's Greener Homes Grant have partnered to provide rebates towards eligible retrofits such as home insulation, windows and doors, heat pumps and renewable energy systems. The new, co-ordinated Home Efficiency Rebate Plus program will help more Ontarians save energy at home. This is great news for residents across the province, including current Enbridge Gas customers who use natural gas to heat their homes and will benefit from enhanced rebates up to $10,000. Participants can also offset the cost of their EnerGuide home evaluation with an additional rebate of $600.

Grant funding through the Canada Greener Homes Grant is being offered across the country to all eligible Canadians. The co-delivery of this program through the HER+ in Ontario will allow eligible homeowners to access the benefits of both programs through a single application and streamlined process regardless of their home heating fuel type
How the program works?

Call and schedule an initial home energy assessment with our licensed Registered Energy Advisor.
STEP 2
We'll provide a custom report with recommended upgrades.

Complete at least one eligible upgrade

Receive your rebate cheque, including up to $600 for the Energy assessments
Type of Homes that will Qualify:
01
Enbridge Gas Customers
Homes that are space heated with Enbridge Gas natural gas that are the owners primary residence.
02
Enbridge Gas Customers, with tenants (Landlord-Owne)
Homes that are space heated with Enbridge Gas natural gas but are not the owners primary residence.
03
NON-Enbridge Gas Customers
Rebates for homeowners who do not heat their home with Enbridge Gas.
04
off-grid communities
Communities not currently connected to the North American electrical grid nor to the piped natural gas network, living in a permanent or long-term (five years or more) settlement with at least 10 dwellings.

Multi Residential Building (MURB)
Owners in some low-rise and mixed-use properties are eligible for rebates
These homes do not qualify for the program:

Homes not space-heated by Enbridge Gas, where the owner is not the primary resident (rental units).

Multi-unit residential buildings (MURB) with more than 3 storeys or larger than 600 m2.

Homes built less than 6 months ago.

Mixed use buildings where less than 50 percent of the building is residential living space.

Homes that have already gone through the Home Efficiency Rebate Plus (HER+) or Canada Greener Homes Grant (CGHG) programs and maxed out their incentive at $10,000 for Enbridge space-heated customers, and $5,000 for non-Enbridge customers.

Homes that have already started work on the upgrades before they conduct their pre-retrofit energy assessment.
